Support Tour DaVita Move It

Hello from the Green Girl and Lexa!I wanted to let you know that I am participating in Tour DaVita this September, a 200-plus mile bicycle ride that brings people together for a healthy activity and raises money for a worthy cause. Your support will help change the world by expanding access to kidney care education, prevention, treatment, and hope.Our beneficiary for 2014 is DaVita Village Trust, a new organization that aspires to improve community health, wellness and vitality, including chronic kidney disease education, prevention, and treatment. Please note that DaVita Village Trust has applied for federal tax exemption as a 501(c)(3) public charity and DVT expects to receive this before the end of 2014.  Once received, all donations to Tour will be tax-deductible for federal income tax purposes. This year, DaVita Village Trust brought two prominent kidney care non-profit organizations, Bridge of Life and The Kidney TRUST, under one umbrella. The combined efforts of these programs allow DaVita Village Trust to provide a full range of kidney care services including international medical missions that deliver dialysis treatment to patients who would otherwise not receive care and free-rapid screening programs to identify those who have signs of kidney impairment within the US and abroad.With your support, DaVita Village Trust will be able to complete 18 international medical missions and install or repair 80 dialysis machines that will expand access to quality dialysis treatment for more than 440 new patients around the world. Additionally, DaVita Village Trust will be able provide free rapid-screenings for more than 12,000 people in at-risk and underserved communities.I am among many people across the country riding in the event and raising funds for DaVita Village Trust.
